Christmas for me is one of the most special times of the year.
I plan for it all year and shop all year round to make sure that I dont have to go shopping in December for gifts as I adore being able to relax through December and spend time taking in the whole of Christmas.
We have lots of Christmas traditions through December and kick start December with the School Christmas Fair on one of the first Fridays of December.
There is nothing more special than seeing the school decorations in full and seeing how excited Joshua gets at all the games, stalls and tombolas he can win big on! … We tend to arrive home with several books, bottles and mass of chocolate related items!
Last Friday was the school Christmas Fair and this year Jacob got to take it all in properly although it was too busy to allow him to walk round himself, however Joshua’s excitement certainly rubbed off on Jacob too!
On Saturday we went off for our first visit with Santa this year at Sundown Adventure Land which I am sharing later this week.
This is the first year Jacob has really taken an interest in Santa so can’t wait for the next visit at our regular Santa too at Floralands in Nottingham that we will be going to soon to see how he reacts to that one!
I have the icing pens ready for the Christmas cookie decorating session for Christmas Eve now too and the final thing we need to get organised was the Christmas Tree.
This year I have worried about Jacob in the same area as a tree as we had previously a very unbalanced tree with a million different sets of lights and plugs and Jacob is puller of all things! However I am thrilled to say we have had an upgraded this year.
The Ultra Devonshire Fir Pre-lit Tree is the tree of my dreams. I have been hankering after a pre lit tree for the last 3 years but couldn’t find one that was easy to put up and down too so when Christmas Tree World suggested the Ultra Devonshire Fir Pre-Lit tree and I can see why. It was super speedy to put up compared to our old tree as the branches on this artificial tree are all hinged and in place already you just need to click them into their already stationary spots.
The lights are fabulous and come in lots of different settings with LED lights in both warm white and multicoloured.
Light functions:
- Warm White static
- Warm white and multicolour static together (warm white is much brighter than multicolour)
- Multicolour and warm white static together (multicolour is much brighter than warm white)
- Multicolour static
- Combination
- Fast twinkling
- Gradient function (fades between the colours continuously)
- Slow twinkling
We have been thrilled with our new tree and I am even more thrilled that I don’t have to spend 3 hours untangling lights before stressing on getting them on right on the tree.
Here’s to a fun and stressless Christmas from here on out!
