The Ultimate Checklist Of Camping Essentials – What To Pack

The Ultimate Checklist Of Camping Essentials - What To Pack The Oliver\\\'s Madhouse
Well, we are finally on countdown to going camping.

If you missed our trial run a few weeks back you can catch up with the story so far if you would like to HERE. However, in a nutshell. I used to camp practically every weekend before meeting Ollie and having the boys.

Ollie never really camped and doesn’t get why I am bursting at the seams to sleep under canvas.

With this fact in mind, I have been super organised this time round to ensure the little things don’t scupper the overall adventure by making lists of what we need to take.

It then occurred to me that I actually am quite knowledgable on the what to take front so thought I would depart some wisdom on you folks incase you are looking for inspiration on what you need to take on your camping travels too.

If you are a more experienced camper you will know most of these already but you might get some tips on other things to take

For me when packing all the kit we need I minimise in size and choose ‘camping’ products such as kitchen equipment as it tends to be built-in more lightweight materials and usually foldable or stackable. Especially if you are camping with kids as you automatically lose the back seats of the car to pack into.

Also try to remember that even if you are camping for a week at a time it really is about trying to live in a more minimal way so home comforts are a nicety but essentials are just that … essential.

On my packing check list I have not included a first aid kit but for me this is something we automatically have in the car and I pack one with our toiletries which again I haven’t listed as I feel these are something you would pack on any trip away from home.

Obviously I am always open to discovering new things too so if you have an essential camping item you can’t live without, why not share it below in the comments for us all to see.
