Tria Beauty Age-Defying Laser – A Review

A little while ago I was asked if I would like to review the Tria Beauty Age-Defying Laser and if I am honest I jumped at the chance.

I am 37 years old, have birthed 3 children, I work full-time and after giving up smoking 3-4 years ago I have been more increasingly worried at the rate of which my wrinkles have appeared and have tried a scary amount of wrinkly creams.

Although beauty products are not my normal forte to review I am sure I can’t be the only person that feels self conscious about their appearance due to their wrinkles and fine lines and so I really wanted to try something that might help me feel better about myself.

If you haven’t heard of the Tria Beauty Age-Defying Laser before then let me fill you in on the basics. Tria who are global leaders in laser and light based skin care technology have created the Age-Defying Laser to help improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles and to improve pigmentation and texture all with a once a day 5 minute routine.

This works by the laser zapping just under the skin which in turn up the skins own healing process and skin naturally rebuilds collagen,  boosting skin tone, texture and appearance!

Tria Beauty Age Defying Laser programme works over 8 weeks and you use their advanced skin care products (priming cleanser and finishing serum) which were included in my review delivery.

On first opening the products I have to say I was rather anxious, after all it’s not everyday you embark on a new beauty regime and certainly not one that involves a laser …. Well, I don’t anyway!

However I have to say if you’re feeling anxious on being able to use it correctly the demonstration video was amazing! it’s not scary and it explains wonderfully (and with full how to on the actions)

I loved the charging cradle for the product that was easy to plug-in and go, no need for a degree of any kind and its super easy functions means it has a display on the top of the product that shows you it’s charging, what setting the product is at while using and also when its finished a green happy tick to say the programme is complete.

The first use was super easy and after washing my face as directed in the video using the priming cleaner and then patting my skin dry I sat down in a quiet room to carry out my first treatment.

I had expected to be there some time but after gliding the laser over each of the 4 zones of the face as directed by the beep, it took far less time than I thought it would to complete!

For the first 2 weeks I used the Tria Beauty Age-Defying Laser on the very first setting as recommend as I do have very sensitive skin. I found the feel of the laser slightly odd. I had expected it to be painful (it’s amazing how much your head can scare you silly when you embark on the unknown) However I was pleasantly surprised that as the laser glides over your skin it felt to me a little like ants with warm shoes on running over my skin, not painful as such just slightly odd.

After treatment however my face was very red so as the video says its best to use the product at night I second that! .. After all who wants to head off on the school run looking like they have been slapped.

The finishing serum was applied after treatment and I have to say I really liked the texture of this, it really did feel like it was calming my redness down from inside and it left my skin beautifully smooth.

Carrying out the treatment at night worked really well for me as there was no sign of any redness in the morning at all so I have made sure all my treatment times for the last 5 weeks have been at night.

I upped my programme strength to setting 2 (there are 3 settings) for the last 2 weeks and had expected to see more redness in my skin but I think since I started using my skin has become more accustomed to it so there was no massive change on how the laser felt.

Until today I have kept my before photos hidden as I wanted to see how much my wrinkles and fine lines have changed in the 5 week duration. I knew texture of my skin had changed at about week 4 and I felt it was fully and less marked by my freckles and dark spots so here they are:

The wrinkles round my eyes have always really bothered me and had got progressively worse to the point that no amount of foundation was ever going to cover them.

I was once told my a plastic surgeon I was always going to have deep furrows as I have a very expressive face … to this day I am still unsure as to how I feel by that however I am more than happy with the lines that I still have today …

Most of the eye bag skin has filled back out and other than 3 or 4 small wrinkles (which could be my expressive face) I am thrilled. I also need to point out that you can’t use the laser directly under the eyes as it can cause damaged to the eye so I was only allowed to use it where there was bone underneath.

My forehead wrinkles have always bothered me, the age me 20 years and as my skin elasticity has decreased they were becoming so bad that in the sun I would get white lines in the furrow when I pulled the skin taught.

Obviously I am not going to lie there are still large wrinkles but there has been a massive impairment on the depth of them and this remember is in 5 weeks, not the 12 weeks as advised online.

Conclusion
I am no beauty blogger but I am so pleased I have tried this system. I will never fully be at peace with the image looking back at me as I am never going to be 18 again … however having fully more supple skin with far less deep and soul-destroying wrinkles has gone a long way to loving the new 37-year-old me.

I love how easy this has been to use, how easy it has been to slip into my daily routine and I have just loved the results.

There is no getting away from its current price tag of £495 for the full set that includes the skin cake products and £450 for the laser alone I am sure many will balk at the price. I was one of those people…

However the results for me were fantastic! and I am guessing that if you’re reading this review you are considering a treatment that will help eliminate the lines and wrinkles so you will already know that having a treatment carried out by a professional can cost in the region of £500 per session and multiple sessions are normally required.

I like to make sure I balance all my reviews with the positive and negatives but other than getting used to the laser on your skin I actually cant find anything I would say is a negative!

I started the programme feeling like I had aged before my years and now I feel more like my own age not ten years older than it.

Thank you Tria Beauty for allowing me to review this genius product.
