Women’s Aid Reverse Advent: Days 11-15

Women's Aid Reverse Advent: Days 11-15 The Oliver\\\'s Madhouse

These last 5 days have been amazing.

Each time I think the support can’t get anymore exciting I get another phone call or email from people interested in supporting this wonderful cause or wanting to share with the world what I am up to.

If you are new to my Women’s Reverse Advent you can find my post explaining how and why I am carrying out this reverse advent HERE.

This week my challenge has been featured over on the BBC’s Website where they share the joy of reverse advent calendars.

I have also had the pleasure in sharing the petition that has been set up to petition changes in the new legislation that will affect Refuges. As changes are being made to stop Housing Benefit being used to pay for the place in Refuges. For more information on this click the picture below and head over to the official petition for full information:

So what has been donated in the last 5 days:

Day 11:
It wouldn’t be christmas without socks and we have a collection of new socks that boys don’t fit into that I bought incorrectly while out shopping a few months back so I have popped those in. Along with 2 stocking filler christmas sock gifts.

Day 12:
Sanitary products were next on the list to add into the box. Not something that many people think about I know but having turned up myself 16 years ago I had nothing and thankfully they helped provide me with the essentials I needed through my periods for the first couple there when my money had yet to come in and I was struggling. Although they are a fairly costly thing I have added in 3 different products so hopefully they will help at least one lady when she arrives.

Women's Aid Reverse Advent: Days 11-15 The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseToday I had the pleasure of receiving a big box of toys from Mattel, the makers of Fisher-Price who’ve been amazing and sent some utterly wonderful toys for the Children in the refuge this Christmas. One of those items sent was the Little Peoples Caring for Animals Farm which we had the chance of reviewing a few months back.

They also sent out some of our all time Fisher Price favourites! Beat Bo’s! a large on and some smaller ones that I know will be a total hit! They didn’t leave any little ones out either with some of the fabulous baby toys! Thank you so much for sending them out I know they will go to loving new homes

Women's Aid Reverse Advent: Days 11-15 The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseDay 13:
Today I am donating the lovely little pushchair we reviewed from Britax earlier this year, The Holiday is ideal for nipping about and will be ideal for someone. I have a few too many pushchairs right now so thought I would share the love and donate this one to someone who could make use of it.

There are some lovely baby products on my radar but for me there has only ever been one long standing brand that has been used consistently with all 3 of my children.

Johnson’s Baby products.

To me it seemed so apt that they were used with my daughter in the refuge 16 years ago and this Christmas I have had the pleasure of sending some for other small people that will be using the refuge like we did.

Women's Aid Reverse Advent: Days 11-15 The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseJohnson’s have been immensely generous and sent us a range of their amazing products to help those that are going to find money super tight and not just at Christmas time. Thank you so very very much Johnson’s I know the Mums with little ones in there will very much appreciate everything you have sent.

Day 14:
The gift for today I am donating is a new hairdryer that would work equally well for mums or older children but its super cute and spotty so I am sure someone would love it.

Day 15:
Christmas just isn’t Christmas without mince pies so I added some in for today along with some cakes for those that might not like them.

Today we also received the most amazing delivery from our friends at Piccolo.

We discovered Piccolo baby food when we reviewed it with Jacob on his weaning journey last year and have been thrilled to see it grow from stage one baby food to also now offer a tasty range in stage 2 too.

Women's Aid Reverse Advent: Days 11-15 The Oliver\\\'s MadhousePiccolo create baby food that is organic, fresh and tasty and each pouch is packed with love and so this is why I am totally blown away when well over 100 pouches arrived on my doorstep that they so very very kindly sent over for the refuge to help feed some very little tummies.

As the days go on I seem to get more and more emotional about the whole process this has been and I honestly can’t thank each and every brand that taken part and been so generous enough.
