A Summer Infant Pop n’ Play Playpen Review

A Summer Infant Pop n' Play Playpen Review The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseA while back we were sent the Summer Infant Pop n’ Play playpen and we were thrilled. Jacob has just started rolling and moving about and getting anything done in the house was a nightmare so we needed a safe space to put him.

The Summer Infant Pop n’ Play playpen is designed as a super portable 14sq. ft of playpen that can very easily and quickly be folded compactly so it can be used on the go.

It has a water-resistant floor to help keep little ones dry (if it’s being used outside) and can be packed into the travel bag so it’s easily storable or movable!

When it arrived I had expected lightweight but this really was super light and very easy to carry.

To put up the playpen you literally open it out and then pull the black loop on each leg of the frame over to the middle and this created the tension needed to keep the bottom sheet all nice and flat and creates the sturdiness in the frame.

Even on the first attempt it took only a few minutes from in the back to fully installed which was utterly fantastic.

I loved the idea of being able to take this into the garden to use but please be aware if you are moving it to the garden its advisable to use on grass only, since the floor is not padded but that didn’t stop my little fella snoozing in it!

We loved being able to put Jacob into some where safe no matter where we were and it was great to pop into the car to take on holiday.

Most products that claim to be lightweight are still fairly bulky but this one is genuinely lightweight and it provides more than enough space even if you had more than one to contain! I think due to its size it maybe slightly too big for some spaces so for me it would be great to have it maybe in 2 sizes?

We did also notice that the frame is not as well padded as I would have hoped so if your little person is very very unsteady its worth baring this in mind.

Conclusion
The concept behind this product is amazing, it was utterly brilliant at making a safe space no matter where we were which is such an epic thing to have when life still carries on and things still need to be done.

We have loved this product so much I have no idea honestly how I would have coped without it as I hate stair gates on every door so this meant we had the same space without drilling into door frames or constantly having to open a stair gate every time we left the room.

I am sure this is going to save our bacon again in the spring and summer months when we can pop it in the garden to allow Jacob out but in a more contained space so his brother can ride his bike or go on the climbing frame without having Jacob dangling off his feet and will certainly save some sanity for me.

This looks fantastic, something that I can see being used both indoors and in the garden as well as on family picnics etc.

I have never used a playpen, choosing to baby proof my home, instead, but this looks a good alternative

Oh my goodness this looks perfect. My little monkey is everywhere right now, including climbing the coffee table to shake the TV! Might check how much it is!
