I wrote recently about my love of a bloggers meet ups and the fact I am such a sociable soul that while working from home I miss conversing regularly with work mates and so blog events are my saviour.
Last weekend I attended my first ever Blog On Conference hosted by the lovely Laura from Tired Mummy of Two at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester.
However to start off proceedings Laura arranged a get together the night before at the Hard Rock Cafe who were keen to show us how to make cocktails and to showcase their food … which by the way was utterly amazing!
So after making some amazing Largerita’s I got to catch up with some amazing folks and finally got meet lots of new ladies!
After waking early on Saturday morning and eating a good breakfast the glimpse of what may have become a hangover quashed it was conference time!
On arrival the venue was fantastic and one I so would love to spend more time in with my family (watch out MOSI we will be back) but Laura had done a fab job with a fantastic range of PR companies and Brands and Services that supported the event and were really proactive about blogging.
It was so lovely to see the ladies from Hotter Shoes again and also to meet some new brands and companies too like James Villas and Black Sheep Wools who have persuaded me to have ago at crocheting!
With some igneous talks on advance SEO, YouTube and Travel I can honestly say I spent the last few days wanting to put my creativity to good use .. However not having enough hours in the day!
The photography session was one of my favourite talks as we got to put our photography to the test by taking photos round the museum!

I love the opportunity these events give me to spend some time with my friends from near or far and this time was also no exception as Jo from Jo’s Kitchen, Jo from Mummy’s Knee and Susan from Susan K Mann got to do some debrief over some tea before departing on trains back home … although gutted Kirsty from Hijacked By Twins had a train earlier and missed out but we will catch up soon Kirsty!
It has been fantastic to see another localish blogging event that has exceeded my expectations and one in which I will be attending again ..
In fact … where do I sign up for next year?
Aww what a great post, love the pictures of you making the cocktails and the ones from around the museum. It was a wonderful place. It was so lovely to hand out with you as always. Wish we lived closer. Hugs x
It was a great day – but it seemed to go so quickly – hopefully see you next year!
Wow – you took some gorgeous photos! It was lovely to catch up and see you again, albeit briefly – there never is enough time at events to just chat 😛
I too love attending blogging events , its always nice to meet bloggers in person.
I look forward to going to one in the future.
I always enjoy reading posts about bloggers meeting up with each other. Glad you had such a wonderful time together.
Sounds like you had a great time. I always wonder about going to these conferences but have yet to do so. One of these days I will pluck up the courage and just do it. Great post Jaime. x
It looked like an amazing event and it looked like you had loads of fun making cocktails! I’m hoping to attend more blogging events over the next year so will hopefully be joining you next time!
I’d love to meet some other bloggers one day as I don’t know a single one in real life! I’m not sure I could go to an event as I can leave my children.
I love blogger events too, it’s lovely to meet people in person that you’ve made friends with online through blogging.
This is one conference that I would love to get to, it always looks like a lot of fun! x
It looks like you had a great time and sounds like a fab conference x

I’m going to my first blog meet soon, and I hope it’s as fun as this one looks. In the first photo, with the cocktails, you really look like you’re about to drink both!
I enjoyed following the tweets and joining in even though I wasn’t there
I was so gutted I couldn’t make it…..those cocktails look lush!
