This week I headed back to one of my favourite shoes stores, Hotter.
I discovered Hotter shoes at their event a couple of years back and fell in love with their iconic Whisper Boots. Since then I have been an avid lover of their Danville boots and my Tourist Sandals and have been eager to get some new shoes for the coming spring and summer months. So I was really excited when Hotter told me to go to my Nottingham and find my fit on some new shoes!
What I love about Hotter shoes and boots is the fitting service. For years I have struggled to find shoes that don’t pinch. Having small, wide feet means that there are so many style that I can never wear but having so many of their shoes in various width fittings means that Hotter shoes take the stress out of shoe shopping for me.
When I got to store I was really excited to be measured and find my perfect pair of shoes and once again the ladies in the Nottingham branch never cease to make me feel welcome and were immensely patient with me as I fell in love with shoe after shoe.
What always makes my brain spin is how differing styles of shoes means I am different sizes. For all the sandals and ballet pumps I tried on I was comfy in a standard width size 5 but the shoes I really wanted (Quake) I tried 3 different width sizes and 2 different shoes sizes to find my perfect fit and the staff never battered an eyelid at bringing me lots of different sizes out to ensure I was 100% happy with the fit of my new shoes.
After finally settling on a size 4.5 EEE width I can say that I am absolutely set for the spring and summer with my Quake shoes with their soft velvet nubuck uppers, flexible soles and leather cushioned insoles they are like heaven on my feet.
