*Advertorial Feature With Imagine Fires*
Over the years we have been more and more determined to soak up the summer atmosphere and stay out in the garden as much as we can.
This year we have had the added bonus of being able to buy the house I have lived in for nearly a decade. So titivating our garden space has become a little bit more personal for us now that we are going to own it.
So we have been taking the time to start making plans for the use of the garden and how we are going to use the space in the coming months and years.
Garden Issues
There are a couple of issues that we need to address before planning anything in our garden space and the first being Jacob. After all having a 3 year old whirlwind in the garden means that anything we plan to use out there has to be well made, preferably movable and allow us to use without causing too much stress.
The second major issue if football. With all other members of my household being football obsessed I need to be able to move anything in the garden out the way or even be able to hold its own without toppling over.
Ease Of Use
Ollie and I have been looking at ways to extend the use of the garden into the chilly evenings and have found lots of big bulky, fiddly contraptions but we had never considered using a bioethanol option.
Fires that use bioethanol have a lower carbon footprint as it a renewable energy source produced by a sugar fermentation process. The sugar comes from renewable crops like corn, maize and wheat and they produce no smoke.
Imagin Fires
Recently we discovered that some bioethanol fires offer up outside fireplaces that would work in any garden.
So we had a closer look at the offerings on Imagin Fires to see if we could fit one into our family space. We totally loved the range of fires on offer but we decided to go for the Hampton Black as I loved the door, encasing in the flame while still giving off heat.
When the Hampton Black fireplace arrived it was great to see minimal construction was needed. In fact other than unwrapping and tightening the handle there was nothing else needed.
It has a wide opening for easy filling and it came with a protective glove and what looked like a poker. Although this was in fact used to close the vent in the bottom, shutting off the flame and putting the fire out.
With a fire like this we are not going to alienate the neighbours as it produces no smoke and so their washing is fine whenever we fire it up and the bonus with this one is we can use it outside and inside!
It is a good job its not massively heavy as you cant store it outside so we plan to move ours outside when we want to.
Here’s to family time in the garden during the day. And evenings in front of the fire sipping a gin.
