Our Day Trip To Thomas Land At Drayton Manor

Our Day Trip To Thomas Land At Drayton Manor The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseLast year we discovered Drayton Manor Theme Park and fell in love, with its humongous Thomas land which is the only one in Europe and its recent 2.5 million pound expansion it would be fair to say we have been reasonably frequent visitors which has been a good thing since it’s only an hour away and it caters for  little kids and big kids alike!

Towards the end of last year being pregnant and sitting in a car for an hour became excruciating and so we didn’t manage to visit as many times as we had hoped, however we did get to visit the spectacular fireworks event and also their magic christmas event!

This year when we were invited to go and visit again we jumped at the chance of taking 3 week old Jacob along with his excitable 4-year-old brother to have our first official family outing and to get to ride on some of our most favourite rides at this family friendly attraction.

On arrival our super excited 4-year-old was eager to fit in as many rides a possible and made a really great attempt at trying them all out, including several that last year he had been rather anxious to go on!

What I love about Thomas Land is even if Thomas is not your child’s ‘thing’ the attractions are still amazingly fun and have been really thought out.

I personally love coming as it never fails to put a massive smile on Joshua’s face!

After attempting almost all of the rides in Thomas Land and visiting the function rooms in Sodor Airport along with some other bloggers we decided to head out for Lunch and walked down to our favourite eatery, the pizza place … the pizza are super tasty and with it being set in a jungle theme with jungle animals that move dotted around the place Joshua loves its quirkiness!

Last time we came to Drayton Manor I was really struggling with getting about being so heavily pregnant so missed out on walking round the Zoo that is located on site so this time it was a must! after a quick nappy change for Jacob and some layering up from the rest of us (it was rather chilly) we headed off to see some of the interesting creatures that we have a soft spot for in the Zoo!

After spending some time repainting ourselves we headed off to show Ollie the Dino Trail! .. so some reason we had never made it there with my husband so he was thrilled to discover a whole new area to the park!

Joshua loves the Dino Trail and loves to read about the dinosaurs on the boards that are dotted around!

After some fact reading it was time to head to the adventure playground to burn off some steam for Joshua and then a walk back to the car … but before we got back to the main entrance Ollie and Joshua did manage to squeeze in just a couple more rides on the way past!

For Jacob on his first ever trip to Drayton Manor he pretty much slept through the whole thing but I have no doubt later this year he will discover the wonder of Thomas Land and when Joshua outgrows Thomas Land I don’t have to worry as there is still a whole other side to the park with bigger, scarier, faster and more exciting rides for the older child and adult alike!

Thanks Drayton Manor for having us last weekend … we have many more trips planned this year and I am hoping they all result in a magical time like this one did!

Hi Barbara its inclusive so its one price for it all, however my advice would be to book your ticket online if you can before you go as it works out with a really reasonable discount http://draytonmanor.co.uk/tickets-and-prices
