Part of the excitement of a new baby on the horizon is for me the organising for the new arrival and buying the tiny little clothes and nappies and of course for a baby product lover like me the bigger nursery items too!
A few months back I compiled a newborn essentials post with all my most wanted items that we were aiming to buy for this arrival and on that list was the Dreami from Shnuggle.
When I started looking at Moses baskets I was not feeling very positive as I have hated them in the past, they do a job but I hated the frilliness of them and the fact that when you moved them or babe moves they were crunchy sounding and certainly didn’t seem very secure.
Thankfully I discovered the brand Shnuggle who had created the Shnuggle Basket Classic which is a modern Moses basket, however their new version the Dreami is the one that fell in love with as this new version it came with a beautiful curved (and rocking stand) and is without the hood on the basket.
I love the minimal look and I love functionality so there was no doubt this product would be the one we wanted for our baby.
The very kind folks at Shnuggle sent us a Dreami for us to review and we have been so very excited about its arrival!
When it arrived I was surprised at how easy it was to assemble the stand (with super helpful instructions)
It took me less than 10 minutes single handedly to put it together.
I loved how easily it went together and how sturdy the curve frame was once assembled and if you want to store it away you can just fold it up too!
The sleeping part of the Dreami is by far the most iconic piece for me, with a wipe clean outter shell (that you can choose from White or Grey) with fantastic ventilation holes in the bottom, it also comes with a lovely and soft breathable 3d mesh fabric shell that slots inside the shell and it took mere seconds to fit.
It is soft to the touch and is hypoallergenic and has an inner core which wicks away any moisture, which is the same as the padded mattress.
The only thing I was concerned about was the size of the mattress as sometimes finding sheets to fit can be difficult but I am pleased to confirm that the Dreami’s Premium 3d mattress is a standard size Moses basket at 28cms x 74cms so normal Moses basket sheets will fit it! Which I think is great as you can shop around for ones you want rather than the ones you have to have!
The curve stand that comes with Dreami is really rather special as there are 2 ways to use the stand, the first way is as a low-level rocker (as pictured above) and then the standard fixed version (as below)
The height of the stand makes it perfect after my section too as I won’t have to lift baby up and over and I can also fit it next to my bed as many alternative options were far too wide to fit anywhere near our bed.
So far I am thrilled with the Dreami and can’t wait to bring our little man home to sleep in it and really put it through its paces and I will of course let you know the final verdict!
