Reminiscing Over My Retro Memories

*Advertorial Feature With Walkers*

Reminiscing Over My Retro Memories The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseAs my little boys get bigger I get more and more aware that time is marching on. I am in denial that my childhood memories and material possessions that I loved so much are now classed as ‘retro’ but they are.

Retro Childhood

In the early 1990’s I was just creeping into my teen years. I was desperate to follow the trends and have the latest gadget or gizmo.

Reminiscing Over My Retro Memories The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseI loved my Tamagotchi. I used to pass it to my mum to feed and care for when I went to school. I got quite frustrated when the damn thing kept dying no matter how much I fed and cared for it.

TV’s and electronic equipment was an utter privilege to actually own. I was lucky and had a massive TV not that it was a real ‘massive’ screen or anything .. Just a massive box on the back! But I was one of the lucky ones. My friends didn’t all have one so they loved it at mine!

My friends however seemed to embrace the full 90s clothing trends and I was late to the party with my purple shell suit and my Dr Martin boots .. And yes I even wore them with cycling shorts (oh dear!)

Communication

Another childhood memory was the dial phone … it took forever to dial anyones number and you were confined to one room with it. I remember having so many conversation on a phone like this to my husband .. We actually dated when we were kids. We went our separate ways then got back together many years later.

My 1990’s music choices were immensely diverse. I loved Ace of Base, Bryon Adams, Celine Dion, The Fugees, Nirvana and the Spice Girls, Obviously!

My first ever concert was in 1998, the 11th September to be precise. A Week before my 19th Birthday I travelled to Sheffield Arena to meet with 2 friends to watch The Spice Girls in their Spice World Tour it was utterly amazing. I was gutted when the Spice Girls split up for the first time in 2000 I am not asked to say I was rather gutted! Reminiscing Over My Retro Memories The Oliver\\\'s Madhouse

Spice Girls …

Recently however, I am pleased to say the Spice girls reunited with Walkers who are on the look out to find their #BestEverFan and they launched a campaign on ITV this week with their new advert which also featured my hero Gary Lineker (I might have fancied him as a young girl! )

The Spice Girls remaining tour dates are:

· Thursday 6th June – Sunderland – Stadium Of Light

· Saturday 8th June – Edinburgh – BT Murrayfield Stadium

· Monday 10th June – Bristol – Ashton Gate Stadium

· Thursday 13th June – London – Wembley Stadium

· Friday 14th June – London – Wembley Stadium

· Saturday 15th June – London – Wembley Stadium
