This week with having all the Christmas stuff under control and lacking in physical activity Ollie, Joshua and I headed off to our local garden centre to get some much needed fresh air.
When we arrived it was so lovely to see the lights and the fact that Santa was in the house was a bonus! but to top it off instead of reindeer there were in fact 3 donkeys instead!
On paying our fee we set off for a walk round the grotto which was in all fairness beautiful and it looked like so much effort had been put into making it such a lovely winter wonderland, with penguins, polar bears, elves and obviously a reindeer head …. as you do?!
As we got further into the grotto the excitement grew and Joshua almost ran to Santa’s door!
Once with Santa he told him all about Cecil his elf on the shelf and also told him about his extremely strange interesting Christmas list and even sat on his knee of his own free will! (Which is an improvement on last year!)
With a present and a few peacocks thrown in for good measure, all in all it was a really lovely trip out … now here is hoping that Santa gets all the things on his very unusual Christmas list!
I do like a good Santa trip and that Grotto looks rather special. Oliver looks a great age for all the magic of Christmas, I’m sure you have a wonderful week of magic moments ahead! Thank you for sharing your day out on Country Kids.
the grotto was absolutely super! Joshua was in his element and he couldn’t wait to get to Santa’s door lol
