*Advertorial Review With Cognikids*
Finally we are declaring our house a non weaning household.
It’s one of the stage of baby and toddlerhood that can be super frustrating. Leaning to eat and drink independently is obviously an important milestone step but it’s not one that can be mastered in a few weeks.
We wrote about our weaning journey with Jacob HERE.
Starting The Weaning From The Beginning
The first stage of weaning for any baby is taking control over drinking. No matter if its bottles or cups the range from Cognikids is perfect for little fingers.
Because Jacob no longer uses these products I have enlisted some help from my lovely friend and her gorgeous 10 month old who will be demonstrating in the pictures how these weaning products work for little fingers.
Cognikids Grip Baby Bottle Gripper
Lucas took well to the bottle gripper. This I have found is generally the case with gripper. Most babies move onto that stage where they want to hold bottles themselves and if your baby is anything like all mine then they are going to pretty much smack themselves in the face with their bottles. The bottle gripper makes for a super handy addition to a bottle to allow baby fingers to grip what was a smooth surface.
This snazzy gripper fits both regular sized bottles and wide bottles alike. To fit I bend the tops down and wiggle then fold up the sides. But we have only used these with wide neck bottles.
As shown Baby Lucas enjoyed taking control of his own milk time!
The Dip Weaning Pre Spoon
The Dip Weaning Pre Spoons are ideal for baby led weaning, in fact weaning of any kind! they are holes in the handle that help babies grip them easily and helps them develop that pincer grip.
The flat head means there’s no wrong way to hold the spoon and the little nodule at the top of the head has been specifically designed to trigger the suck reflex. The raised holes in the spoon collects foods allowing baby to get plenty of tastes while attempting to feed.
The Dip is both flexible & durable and easy to clean & Dishwasher safe.
The Sip Natural Drinking Cup
For me this was my worst stage of the weaning process. Drinking our of a cup is like the Krypton Factor of weaning. Getting the balance without spilling is pure evil in those first few months. Never mind keeping hold of it while lifting! After all cups are normally slippery suckers.
For me the Sip Natural Drinking Cup was a total winner. It works along the same principle as the Bottle Gripper. It has a small shaped cup and on the outside it has a layer of the bubbled easy grip plastic on the outside.
Lucas loved this for chewing on too!
