Well folks it’s that time of the year. The festive period is upon us and we are all facing the dark nights along with starting to think about making change for the coming year.

For me this year its going to be about building a better work life balance, not only for me but for the kids too.

2024 for us as a family has been hard. My Dad has been unwell with a cancer diagnosis and will be ending the year with a massively invasive surgery. At times this year have had to travel to be with my Mum and Dad as they battled to save his life. My husband and kids have kept the house going in my absence and I have missed them terribly. However, this coming year for us will be about balance. Balance of time and balance of tech and the way we use it.  So I have been looking at Very’s offering of gaming and technology see how we could use tech to rebalance and build our wellbeing as we move into the new year.

It wouldn’t be Christmas if we didn’t look at upgrading the families tablets and this LenovoTab M11 Tablet with Pen – 11in FHD, 4GB RAM, 128GB is a great addition with its 11 inch screen and its ability to support amazing apps and services needed to support better wellbeing this new year. This tablet is top on my list of must have items this year. The screen size and ease of use is going to make it so much easier to exercise – as I use online streaming to workout and with its large screen it will make it easier to follow the yoga positions with no squinting. Not to mention with its ability to download apps I can even watch TV on the go while I am out and about.

RING Solar Panel (USB-C)

The gift of peace of mind is something that absolutely will support my mental health and wellbeing this coming year. What will help with that for me is the RING camera and doorbell system I have in place currently. They were easy to install and the app on my phone is super easy to naviagate but my system currently runs on click in and out batteries. This coming year I would like to remove the issues of having to remember to clip in and out batteries by changing them to run on Solar panels instead. No more worrying about if they are armed and working as the whole system will run without my stress and I can check in on home anytime I like and know that anything around the hours is safe and secure. Playstation 4EA Sports FC 25

It wouldn’t be Christmas if I didn’t look at adding in one of the boys preferences for this festive period. Joshua gets a great amount fun from his gaming and this year on his wish list is the Playstation 4EA Sports FC 25.  This coming year we are going to build in boundaries for gaming as this year there has been too many hours online. Gaming is something we do encourage as both kids get  a great deal of enjoyment but we are going to build in some reasonable time limits for the boys so making sure they have games they enjoy is a most.
