Christmas was a really quiet time for us with Ollie working until Christmas Eve and returning to work on Boxing Day and I was still trying to complete the kitchen redecoration after teatime on Christmas Eve for those last bits of paint.
After the obligatory party food tea and a viewing of the snowman the boys headed off to bed rather excited … so much so we waited a further 2 hours for them to actually fall asleep so Santa could arrive and do his thing.
Christmas morning we awoke well before 6am and I was beginning to think I would have to drag the critters from their slumbering pits. However, Joshua soon bolted across the landing and drives into our bed, followed by Jacob shouting from his bed that he was awake.
So we headed downstairs to see if Santa had been .. thankfully we must have had two very good boys as there were some really lovely gifts waiting for them!
Jacob this year finally realised he had to unwrap his gifts not pass them to someone else to do like last year so he was super excited and Joshua was super patient and helpful.
After eating like kings we headed back to the living room where the fat pants were put back on and an afternoon of cheesy films and some further present unwrapping occurred.
Another evening of party food offerings completed teatime which the kids obviously loved and I finally got my turkey cobs (My fave)
Thankfully we were all pretty tired so we were all in bed fairly early with happy hearts, full tummies and tired eyes.
How did you spend your Christmas Day?
