How Do Millennials Look After Their Family?

How Do Millennials Look After Their Family? The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseThe idea that Millennials are constantly stuck to their screens has become a cliché. Unfortunately, it’s a little out of touch with reality.

Demographic experts tend to agree that Millennials were born between the late 1970s and the mid-1990s. In other words, it would be unfair to describe Millennials are youthful and inexperienced kids who can’t spend a minute away from their smartphones.

The typical Millennial is aged 40 to 25 and an active part of society. Consequently, Millennials have an established career. With those born more recently being in the process of establishing their career and a family of their own.

Needless to say, with the addition of a partner and/or children, the Millennial’s life focus has changed dramatically. With at heart, the desire to make the most of the modern appliances and strategies, Millennials have redefined what it means to keep their family safe.

They believe in smart tech at home

While the cliché of the Millennials glued to their smartphone is incorrect, it doesn’t mean that they have abandoned their interest in technology. On the contrary, high tech solutions play an integral role in their everyday lifestyle at home. Indeed, making the household safe for the family is a matter of finding the best tool for the job.

How Do Millennials Look After Their Family? The Oliver\\\'s MadhouseIt’s not uncommon to find private security smart cameras in a Millennial house. As a rule of the thumb, solutions that can be managed remotely via a smartphone offer the opportunity to not only care for the family safety but also maintain the property security during the holidays. Combined with a hub of smart home appliances, from the TV to the vacuum cleaner, the Millennials maximise quality time with the family while ensuring that the interior remains safe for young children.

They choose a workplace that shares their values

Millennials are skilled and talented professionals who bring a lot of value to the workplace. They mark the bridge between an older generation, who was stuck in a 9-to-5 routine, and a tech-savvy generation who is thinking outside the box.

They have seen their parents struggle to keep up with their family life while maintaining their work duties. Inspired by it, they want to offer a better experience to their children; they want to work with companies that share their family values.

But more importantly, Millennial parents want to keep their loved ones protected in all situations. This includes considering what would happen to their partner and children in the event of their death. Aside from considering life insurance, they also want to compare relevant life cover here and private healthcare cover there. In short, they expect the best from their employer for their family.

They stick to their 5 a day

Keeping their family safe, however, encompasses a lot more than providing for a secure house and financial stability.

Millennials have embraced healthier lifestyle habits. The alcohol industry has felt the first evidence of it; Millennials are opting out of booze. Instead, they prefer a healthy smoothie that provides them with all the nutrients they need. It’s no surprise that juice and smoothie bars have become a profitable industry!

They extend their positive habits to their family, introducing a variety of fruit and vegetables to the kitchen pantry. Children of Millennial parents tend to consume most greens than the previous generation as a result. More importantly, Millennials have become aware of how their food choices can affect the planet. They take the safety of the future generations to heart, which results in an increase in vegan and vegetarian diets.

Everyone stays active, even your baby

Last, but not least, Millennial parents make fitness a family matter. Not only are they more likely to practice a sports activity with their children, but they are also more likely to transform the fitness industry by introducing parent and baby solutions. Unfortunately, there are not enough gyms that offer on-site nursery services in the UK; however, our cousins on the other side of the ocean already enjoy dedicated support. Thankfully, baby-friendly classes and postnatal fitness are becoming popular in the UK. It’s fair to say that nursery services are in the pipeline too!

Millennials love their safe family life. They work hard to protect their family from the most common dangers of the 21st century, namely, loss of income, poor health, and household intrusion.
